Luo Han Guo
Lo Han Guo or Momordica (Momordica Grosvenor and Swingle) is a perennial medicinal plant native to southern China.
The plant is known for the sweet taste of its fruits, which also have medicinal properties. For centuries, Luo Han Guo fruits have been used in traditional Chinese medicine as a remedy for colds, coughs, sore throats, gastrointestinal disorders and as a blood purifier, as well as in the treatment of diabetes and obesity.
Luo Han Guo fruit extract is 100-400 times sweeter than sugar and is used in China as a natural sweetener.
