LOCTITE® 290

LOCTITE® 290 — medium/high strength liquid threadlocker designed for fixing and sealing threaded fasteners. Due to its low viscosity and capillary action, the product effectively penetrates between the turns of the thread, eliminating the need to dismantle the joint before applying it. The product cures in the absence of air between tightly fitting metal surfaces, after which it effectively prevents the loosening of joints and the occurrence of leaks due to shocks and vibrations. It also provides pore filling in welds, cast products and powder metal parts.

• It is effective only on a metal surface
• Ideal for fixing pre -assembled connecting parts, such as control and measuring equipment parts, electrical connectors and mounting screws
• It is allowed to have minor contamination on the surface in the form of technical oils, such as motor oils, preservative lubricants and coolant
• Heating is required for disassembly
