LOCTITE® 638

LOCTITE® 638 is a shaft—bushing compound designed for gluing cylindrical joints, especially with small gaps (about 0.25 mm). The product polymerizes between tightly fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, after which it effectively prevents the loosening of joints and the occurrence of leaks due to shock and vibration. It is suitable for use not only with active metals, but also with passive bases, and demonstrates excellent curing characteristics. The product is highly resistant to high temperatures and oils, and also allows minor contamination of the surface.
