LOCTITE® SI 5940
LOCTITE® SI 5940 is a one—component, black, paste-like vinegar sealant, cured at room temperature. The product is used for sealing and general purpose bonding, as an elastic sealer for filling voids, as well as for forming gaskets. It has good adhesion to clean surfaces of metals, glass, most types of oil-based wood, silicone sealants, vulcanized silicone rubber, ceramics, natural and synthetic fiber and most painted and plastic surfaces.
- Does not contain solvents
- High resistance to aging, cracking and discoloration, low shrinkage
- It cures under the influence of atmospheric moisture and forms a strong, elastic, waterproof, oil-resistant silicone compound
- It is used in the temperature range from -50 to +200 °C, withstands a temperature of +220 °C for a short time
